AppUpdate Helps Users Discover and Share Hidden Gem Apps in the Android Market

College Park, MD – September 17, 2011 – A recent study by Nielsen showed that the top 50 apps in the Android Market account for over 61% of all app usage, while the rest largely sit idle. “There are a huge number of fantastic apps in the Android Market that no one has heard about. With Facebook integration, AppUpdate enables users to share their favorite apps, and to see the recommendations of their friends in different ways. Users can post updates about their favorite apps, browse a news feed of other “app updates”, install apps directly from updates, see the most popular apps in their circle of friends, browse the recommendations of individual friends, and engage in conversations.

AppUpdate provides a social view into the Android Market, the view of a particular users group of friends, enabling users to discover and share the best hidden gem apps that aren't in the top 50.
